Apply for a Land Use Application

1/1/2022 THE CITY OF BLACK HAWK HAS MOVED TO AN ONLINE PERMITTING SOFTWARE, COMMUNITYCORE. CONTACT cpdinquiry@cityofblackhawk.org WITH QUESTIONS.

All Land Use applications must be pulled through our permit portal, CommunityCore.

Timeframe for Land Use Review:

  • Minor Project: 12 Business days
  • Major Project: 30 Business days
  • Business days do not include weekends or holidays. 

Plans Needed:

Please refer to the Planning Land Use Guidelines for the required information for your submittal. You will also be given direction from our Planning Consultant on specific documents that pertain to you application.

Contractors, please contact Community Planning and Development at cpdinquiry@cityofblackhawk.org or 303-582-2223 to obtain your login and password information for CommunityCore.

Community Members, will register directly through the portal. 

Community Members are defined as: Homeowners, Business Facility Managers, Business Owners, Architects

Through the CommunityCore portal, you can:

  • Obtain all permits
  • Request inspections
  • View inspection results
  • Track all historical permits

Contractors: 

All contractors must hold a current City of Black Hawk Business License and be listed on the Building Permit before it may be issued.
