City Manager

The City Manager's office is responsible for the day-to-day management of the City of Black Hawk and is responsible to the Mayor and City Council for the administration and execution of all affairs of the City. The City Manager's goal is to ensure that the City of Black Hawk remains a functional, smoothly run place of residence, business and commercial development without losing the tradition and historical aura of Black Hawk.

The City Manager is responsible for the implementation of policy and procedures as directed by the City Council. The City Manager's Office is responsible for:
 

• Coordination of day-to-day operations and supervision of all departments
• Administration and execution of all City affairs
• Chief Personnel Officer
• Advising and making recommendations to City Council
• Enforcing laws and ordinances of the City
