The City of Black Hawk established the Residential Exterior Paint Program to preserve the architectural character of residential properties within the Historic Residential District. The Program provides a Property Owner with the resources and financial assistance needed to maintain the exterior paint on its residential buildings for the continuation and enhancement of a functional, sustainable, healthy, and vibrant residential community.
Only certain properties are eligible for the Residential Exterior Paint Program each year. The Community Planning and Development Department notifies Property Owners at the end of the year, that their home will be eligible in the upcoming year.
